Scientific Background
SB202190 is a highly selective and potent inhibitor of p38 MAP kinase. Specifically, it binds within the ATP pocket of the active kinase and selectively inhibits the p38α and β isoforms. It has been shown to induce apoptosis. SB202190 is cell-permeable.
