Histone deacetylase inhibitor (IC50=400 µM). Demonstrates neuroprotective, anticancer and anti-inflammatory activity. Inhibits Aβ production and neuritic plaque formation in Alzheimer’s mouse models. Clinically useful anticonvulsant.
